The BMABA Student Licence and Grading Book is an official document issued to registered students training under the British Martial Arts and Boxing Association.

BMABA is a nationally recognised governing body providing regulation, grading validation and recognised membership structures for martial arts clubs throughout the United Kingdom. Registration ensures that students train within a structured and professionally recognised framework.

This licence book serves several important functions:

• Official record of grades and progression
• Proof of current membership
• Personal identification within the association
• Live blade cover certification

The included live blade cover is a legal requirement for students who own a modern, non antique training sword with a curved blade exceeding 50cm in length. Possession of a valid and current BMABA licence provides lawful authority to own such a training weapon and to transport it directly to and from the recognised training venue.

Membership is renewed on an annual basis. If membership is not kept current, the live blade cover becomes invalid and third party liability insurance provided through Shindō Battōjutsu Kyōkai is void.

The book features a durable embossed cover and is intended to serve as a long term record of a student’s martial development.
