Tohō Kata – The Foundation of Iaido at Our School
What Is the Tohō Kata?
The Tohō Kata (東方形) are five traditional iaido forms created by the All Japan Iaido Federation (ZNIR).
Each form represents a different school of Japanese swordsmanship and teaches balance, awareness, and precision in movement.
At our school, the Tohō Kata are a core part of training, helping students build strong fundamentals in both technique and spirit.
